Events: Mongol Empire, Crusades, Islam
History Before:
Before the Mongol Empire there had never been a nomadic empire to ever control such a large territory. There had also never been a guerrilla warfare that used horses and bows during combat. Before the Crusades, a specific religion has never tried to retake the lands lost although specific empires have. Before the introduction of Islam, trade had never been rooted to a single religion.
History After:
After the Mongol Empire, China began picking up equestrian skills and European countries relied on them more. After the Crusades, trade was reestablished with other regions and this led to the renaissance. It also sparked the embracement of Aristotle's ideas after talking with Muslim and Jewish scholars. They also became heavily reliant on spices which increased trade and boosted economies overall. The introduction of Islam lead to a boost in economies because the belonging to a single religion increased trade amongst these region.
